Hello There!
My name is David, I’m a game designer and developer passionate about making video games and pushing their boundaries, transforming feature concepts into a playable reality. I am currently studying Computer Science at Cal state and graduated from Vertex School’s Unreal Engine Game Development with C++ program. My skillset extends to UE5, C, Python, and a suite of testing and development tools, enabling to craft fun and engaging game experiences.
One of the first videogames I ever played back in 1998 was MediEvil on my new PlayStation console. Besides being stuck at the beginning surrounded by goblins and caverns for months, I loved playing it even though I was only 6 years old. Soon after Legacy of Kain, Devil May Cry, and after the years Oblivion, Demon’s Souls, and then graduated to action RPG games like GOW, Bloodborne. To say that I love open world RPG action fighting is kind of an understatement.
As one could imagine it’s brought me a ton of joy working at studios like 2k Vegas and Playstation San Diego where I’ve proudly worked on and helped ship numerous titles such as Borderlands 3, The Last of Us Part 2, God of War Ragnarok, Demon’s Souls Remake alongside PS5’s public launch and countless retro titles for PS Classics Catalog. With the industry constantly innovating new proprietary software, I’ve found adapting to be one of my best abilities.
I am currently solo developing a hack and slash RPG in Unreal Engine using custom 3d rigs, custom landscape inluding thier materials as well as pre-rendered assests from Epic Games’ Marketplace.
